It’s Fall! The cool weather is here to stay and people are doing fun activities like picking apples, carving pumpkins and baking pies. This month we will be using Autumn vocabulary to talk about the colors, flavors, and smells we experience during this busy season!

When going on an outing, talk in the car about the places and things you see on the way. You can use this time to point out different colors, buildings and decorations you see in the community. Use “what” questions: “What questions ask about things, what changes color and falls off of trees?” or “What do we do with a rake?” Asking and answering “what” questions in the car can help your child develop important communication skills.
